7 Days of Outreach

God blessed Faith to reach over 500 lives during its 7 Days of Outreach, held August 8-14, 2010! The following is a slideshow of photos taken at each Outreach effort. Those efforts included: A Hometown Heroes Celebration, Clothing Give-A-Way, free USDA Food Distribution, Community Fellowship Meal, Sundown Cinema: Madagascar II, Block Party, and H.Y.P.E. Fest – sponsored by District Ten Ministerial Alliance. To God be the glory for the things He has done!

Hometown Heroes Celebration Kicks Off 7 Days of Outreach

Faith’s Hometown Heroes Celebration served as the kickoff to its 7 Days of Outreach. The Celebration was held during worship service on Sunday, August 8. Faith honored 9 persons in the community as heroes. Among the honored guests was U.S. Congressman John Lewis.

Faith Gives Clothes Away to the Community

Faith gives clothes away to the community as part of their 7 Days of Outreach. Faith set up its basement as a boutique and the community was able to come and select from clothes, shoes, hats, coats, jewelry, and household items for FREE!

Faith Prepares Boxes of Free Food for the Community

Members of faith prepare boxes of free food from the USDA to distribute to the community during its 7 Days of Outreach.

Community Fellowship Meal Blesses Many

Faith prepared a meal for the community on Thursday, August 12, as part of  its 7 Days of Outreach.

Faith and the Community Watch a Movie on the Lawn

Sundown Cinema was held Friday, August 13, as a part of Faith’s 7 Days of Outreach. The movie on screen for the evening was Madagascar II.

Faith Connects with Community with a Block Party

Members of Faith enjoyed members of the community at a  Block Party on Saturday, August 14, as a part of Faith’s 7 Days of Outreach. There was free  food distributed, free haircuts, games for the children, barbecue, cotton candy, and health information for all ages.

Young People Get H.Y.P.E. for Christ in Concert

Youth singing, dancing, and rap groups came together for a H.Y.P.E. Fest (Helping Youth Prepare for Eternity) on Saturday, August 14. The Fest was the culminating event of Faith’s 7 Days of Outreach. The Fest was sponsored by the District Ten Ministerial Alliance. The church walls were rocking with sounds of praises to God!

Restocking Bread for the Bread Ministry

Faith has an effective Bread Ministry that blesses hundreds on a weekly basis.
